The Musical Background

Before going viral, James spent 12 years teaching music at top London schools. Outside the classroom, he has an extensive background as a professional session singer and performer:

  • Backing Vocals: The Rolling Stones (50th Anniversary Concert) and Electric Light Orchestra (Hammersmith Apollo reunion).
  • Studio Recordings: Sung on tracks for Sir Paul McCartney, Tom Chaplin, and Katherine Jenkins, recording at legendary studios like Abbey Road and Angel Studios.
  • Choir & TV: A founding member of Gareth Malone's Voices, performing at the Royal Variety Show, the Classic Brit Awards, and on a sold-out UK tour.
  • Live Events: Toured the UK and internationally with Truly Medley Deeply, and performed live on The One Show with his original group, The Harbour.
